BLUP design George Fitzgerald number one hit 'Burn' and 'All that must be' album cover

FitzGerald was an employee at the London record store Black Market Records in the mid-2000s, and began issuing records of his own after relocating to Berlin in 2010. He is part of a generation of artists and DJs who witnessed at first hand the early and experimental days of a uniquely 21st century sound – dubstep – and then saw it explode into the club mainstream, catapulting them to unimagined successes as it did. Along with friends and compatriots like Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, James Blake and Pearson Sound, FitzGerald had been schooled in the power of bass vibrations and sonic experimentation.

For the single and album designs Blup decided to create an abstract shape that represented the full circle of the main album title ‘All that must be’. The symbols, glitches, and colours behind the artwork is representative of the complexities in life but through that complexity, something equally beautiful can be born.

Following the success of the single 'Burns' amassing over 5 million listens on Spotify in the 1st 12 weeks alone, the single went Viral, landing it on Spotify’s ‘Hot Hits’ for 2017. In turn, opened up the door for the full album campaign, which was released March 2018.
